Not like anyone reads this...

I took a good political quiz today at a place called politicalcompass.org. I like it because it is a European site that has more of a range then the left/right crap here in America. So, if you want, give it a go and see where you end up. Also, check out the other links on the site, like the 2004 election profile. Interesting stuff.

Here is where I stand for all of you out there who haven't figured out where I am politically:

Economic Left/Right: -8.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.95

Which means that I am pretty much left of well...everyone. I will put a picture of where I ended up in a thumbnail. Oh, and the numbers above are in relation to the (x,y) axis of a graph (see thumbnail), where: (X positive, Y positive) is Authoritarian right: (X positive, Y negative) is libertarian right: (X negative, Y positive) is authoritarian left:

(X negative, Y negative) is libertarian left. That last one is where I am. If this is confusing, look at the picture or go to the site and they explain it.

And remember, enjoy! It may be fun to figure out where you are in the political spectrum.

It is supposed to be about your own views so you can see how they really line up with the political spectrum. And it may seem set up different to us b/c it is a UK group that put it together, opposed to an American group. The unfortunate thing is that what I get from it is that there is NO party that represents my views, especially not in America. The site also does some analysis of the current politics of different countries and shows trends that worldwide governments are leaning further and further right. How's that gone so far? <snark> The "far left" dems are somewhere right of center. When I look at the dems, they don't relate to me, they are closer to the republicans way more than they are aligned with me. But, I will vote for a right of the center dem before I will vote for an authoritarian right-wing republican. 3 Nov.
