11月13日 Not feeling well...I've been sick for a few days, so I haven't been much up for blogging. So, I will just throw this out there: Hillary, Schumer, and Lieberman need to go. I can't stand them. I can't stand Biden either. So, he can go too. But, first, the other three I mentioned need to go. Or, we need an actual third party. I think we could have enough people if we took the Chafee republicans in too. Especially, since it seems Chafee is slightly left of the dems I just listed. (which doesn't take much) It won't happen though. We are too institutionalized as a country. We have to keep up the status quo.
Anyway, I think that the dems would be complete morons if they have any of the aforementioned people run for president. Or geniuses, if you realize that would definitely move us closer to a one party system of government since none of the people mentioned here (with the exception of Chafee) are any different ideologically than the republicans. If their intention in 2008 is to move to a one party government system, then that would be the way to go. I have heard people floating the rediculous McCain/Lieberman ticket idea. Yeah, I want some insane one party dictatorship ran by two bloated egos...not. So, there it is. Agree with me or disagree with me, I could care less. But watch, I will not be surprised to see these four (Hillary, Schumer, Lieberman, and Biden) undermine what the majority of dem voters want every step of the way. They are fake, and I have a feeling that more people will come to see their fakeness in the near future.
*And for those of you who will, undoubtedly, point out the miniscule differences in ideologies, I would like to point out something. If you take out "wedge" issues like gays and abortion, there is no discernable difference in economic or foreign policy between the above dems and the neocons. I would also like to point out that other than to divide the people, those issues are meaningless to the politcos. As we have seen, unlike a lot of their constituents, the repugs don't have a problem with gay people (hell, most of them are the *gay* people). And, I would go further to say that there aren't too many politicians that are *really* for banning abortion. They just take that stance to get votes. So, if you take those two distractions out, what are you left with? *
Update:
Fred reminded me that Rahm Emmanuel should be on the above list. I concur. Also, flipping through the channels, I ran across CNN and Glenn Beck was on. I nearly vomited. He basically said that our democracy caused us to "lose" the Vietnam war and will cause us to "lose" the Iraq war. Hey, Glen, why are you on my fucking t.v. spouting ant-democratic propaganda? Can Glen Beck just STFU!?!
